On the 19th and 20th of June, a few NeuroD group members attended the Dutch Neuroscience meeting. The Dutch Neuroscience Meeting covers research from various neuroscience disciplines, both on the molecular as well as the cognitive side. As the areas of research are quite diverse, there are many parallel sessions with different neuroscience topics to choose from. Furthermore, there are poster sessions where you can discuss your results and network with fellow scientists.
The NeuroD group was well represented at the meeting. Ronald was part of the program committee and he organized a parallel session on genetic therapies for brain disorders. In this session, various experts in the field gave an educational overview of different genetic therapies, including antisense oligonucleotides. Next to the parallel session, NeuroD group members Bas, Jill and Laurie presented their work during the poster sessions. Besides all the science, there was also time for dinner and a real dutch neuroscience meeting party! All in all, we look back on a nice conference where we learned a lot and had the opportunity to meet a lot of neuroscientists from a great variety of disciplines.
